1188 (Coalville) Air Training Corps is an Air Cadet Squadron that is based in the South and East Midlands Wing, of the Central and East reigon of the Air Training Corps. Our Squadron is located in Coalville, Leicstershire. Just past Newbridge High School. We have our own, well maintained purpose built building.
The ATC is a military based youth organsiation that helps give skills to young adults from 13-18 that would be useful in civillian and military life. When you join the cadets, you can move up a rank and classification structure. Moving up it is based on leadership amongst other qualities. Although disiplined, we know when and how to have fun, we do a lot of exiting things which includes social events such as partys, and MegaZone which is awsome, even for the older people!
Cadets have many reasons for joining cadets.
But one thing they all have in common is they enjoy it!
