Welcome to 1188 (Coalville) Squadron
Air Training Corps
We are part of the Air Training Corps (ATC) - one of the UK's biggest youth organisations, where "air minded" young people between the ages of 13 and 18 enjoy what the ATC has to offer.
Our Squadron is based in Coalville, Leicestershire and is a thriving unit. We parade every Tuesday and Thursday evening between 7:15 and 9:30pm at our hut on Forest Road - very close to Newbridge School. You can find a map on our "Contact us" page.
You don't have to be an "aeroplane geek" to join us, but an interest in flying and flight will help! If you like the sound of learning more about arcraft and flying, parading, getting outdoors, being involved in the community and much much more - then read on!
Everything we do supports the three aims of the ATC
-
To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
-
To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.
-
To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship
Here you can find out about all the things we do by clicking on the menus around the screen - it might be more than you think!
Enjoy your time here and we hope to see you back soon!
Members of the Squadron - remember to log in!
